Yesterday, Project LUMINA is set to release ‘Melty Blood: Type Lumina on PlayStation 4 and other platforms in 2021. Type Lumina is based on the long-running Type Moon Visual Novel Series. It’s current iteration is called Tsukihime -A Piece of Glass Moon-. It will feature a story by Kinoko Nasu and new character designs by Takashi Takeuchi both Type Moon veterans.
Melty Blood: Type Lumina is a 2D fighting game developed by French-Bread, the developer of the original Melty Blood Series which started in the mid-2000s. The game will feature 10 playable characters with color customization from the ground up. One Player modes will consist of Story, Time Attack, and Survival.
It will carry many familiar elements from previous Melty Blood games but will have a revamped combo system called the ‘Rapid Beat System’ which has some resource management at play. This will probably be the form of a ‘Super Meter’. For multiplayer, it will feature rollback netcode.
