
“MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA” gets a release date!

The developers at Project LUMINA have announced the release date for its 2D fighting game “MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA” is scheduled for September 30th, 2021.
On launch day, there will be two versions available: The Deluxe Edition, the limited digital edition showcasing the full history of “MELTY BLOOD”, plus the standard digital edition of MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA More information on pre-orders is to come. The Deluxe Edtion will also include a digital soundtrack titled ‘MELTY BLOOD SOUND COLLECTION’.
In addition, every game purchase will come with the free DLC (downloadable content), It will be called “Arcueid Round Announcements” featuring the fight announcer Arcueid Brunestud. Downloads will be available for Early Purchase Bonus buyers for a limited time, from September 30th to October 27th, 2021.
The game will not have a physical release in The West so you may have to import it from such sites as Play-Asia.com or place an order with a local import shop.
Melty Blood was originally a visual novel that has been going on since December of 2002. It has been made three fighting games, and have appeared on consoles such as the PS2 and Personal Computers. The story involves murders in Misaki Town and vampirism.
Unfortunately, there’s no crossplay between the various platforms and hasn’t been picked up by a company such as Limited Run or Special Reserve Games for a physical release in the United States and other Western Countries. Hopefully, either of these companies pick it up. The game is fow now is still on track to a September release.
