Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania Kiryu Joins The Gang Trailer

Yakuza fans are in for a treat with Kazuma Kiryu from the Yakuza (Ryu Ga Gotoku) series coming to Super Monkey Ball. If you didn’t know, Toshihiro Nagoshi, was the producer of the original Super Monkey Ball on the Gamecube when it launched in 2001. He also, with no introduction, was key in the Yakuza series. He joins other sega characters such as Sonic, Tales, and Beat from Jet Set (Grind) Radio.

The character model is in the semi cartoon style which definitely fits the art style for Monkey Ball. The trailer also features Yakuza Kiwami remix of the original battle theme ‘Funk Goes On’ by Shoji Hidenori. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz is slated to release October 5th, 2021 on PS4,5, and the usual platforms.
