Naughty Dog seems to be over one of their most popular franchises. In a recent interview, Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann revealed that Naughty Dog plans to “move on” from the Uncharted franchise.
“Uncharted was insanely successful said Druckmann. Uncharted 4 was one of our best-selling games — and we’re able to put our final brushstroke on that story and say that we’re done.”
It also seems that the future of The Last of Us as a game series is up in the air as well as the studio is working on creating new IPs. I would personally love to see another Last of Us game. A story that fills in the time from the day of the outbreak until we see Joel 20 years later. Just how the hell did he and Tommy survive so long? As for Uncharted, I think that Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy were a fitting end to the franchise unless the minds at Naughty Dog come up with something as magical as they did with the creation of the series.
